Apple announced during the 1984 Super Bowl that on January 24th, 1984 will not be like 1984. It was on this day that the first commercially successful personal computer to feature a mouse and a graphical user interface rather than a command line interface would be sold. And it was called “Macintosh”.
Bill Gates in addition to what he said in the clip above, also said “The next generation of interesting software will be done on the Macintosh, not the IBM PC.”
